LHMS CITATIONS need to include:
Purdue OWL- Here is a link to a citation guide that gives a good overview about citing sources and examples of citations.
EASY BIB- This is a link to Citation Generator, a free online service that creates bibliographic citations.
If you need help composing your citations or would like to see some examples, ask your
teacher or librarian.
- To give credit to the original creator and their work.
- To allow readers access to the work cited in order to further explore or read the article/book.
- To indicate that the resource is credible.
- To avoid PLAGIARISM-which is using someone else's writing as if it was your own,
LHMS CITATIONS need to include:
- WHO-Author.
- WHAT- Title of book,article, image or video.
- WHERE-Name of website or database or Publisher and place of publication (book).
- WHEN-Date created or updated.
- HOW-Type of resource-Print, Web or Database.
